THE NEW DEVELOPMENT OF ADAPTING THE MASSAGE-STONE OF THE ORIENTAL BATH
Admired by many tourists the Oriental masseur mostly kneeing clambers around and celebrates the original hamam-massage on the “Göbek Tasi.” On this heated stone plate are one or more clients treated at the same time while other clients – also lying on the stone – are waiting for their treatment. It may occur that some splashes fall on the waiting clients. Accepted in the Orient, here it may seem unpleasant. What happens when a masseur from our countries is not accustomed to the so-called Turkish seat (working on the knees) and is doing the treatment by standing to the side? The height of the massage stone is now not right and the running soap water wets the masseur’s clothing. The access to the guest just from one side very much reduces the quality of the massage. Therefore, a massage stone – taking our ways into consideration – and for one person, had to be developed…
